!Killed by Indians
- This short story of David's life has different information in it than I've found before. It says he wasn't married and died from smallpox rather than killed by the Indians. I don't know which is true:
David Andrew Bryce
David Andrew Bryce was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, January 7, 1858 to Ebenezer Bryce and wife Mary Ann Park Bryce. He was the third child born to this couple. He lived with his parents, brothers and sisters in the Utah country until they migrated to the Gila Valley. He was about twenty-four years old when they came to the valley.
Dave never married but he lived with his parents and helped with the cattle on the mountains and did a lot of freighting between Willcox and Globe.
He moved to the Phoenix area and while there contracted smallpox and died.
