At least three versions of their marriage appear in the records. In one, he married Mary Ring, daughter of Reuben French Ring (b. October 8, 1777 at Old Salisbury) and Anna Sterling, on June 21, 1852 at Salt Lake City, Utah. This is probably their sealing date and since it was done in Salt Lake and the Salt Lake Temple was not open, yet, it was probably done in the Endowment House. In another, he married Mary Ring on February 6, 1826 at Pomfret, Vermont. The third version gives March 28, 1816 at Hartland, Vermont. This last date seems to be the most plausible(according to Robert Champlin). Mary was born at Old Salisbury, Massachusetts on January 28, 1794 and died at Salt Lake City, Utah on April 3, 1871 | Family: F2991

Fred Longhurst says: The Audley, Staffs Parish register is fairly new in the library and is quite readable on the high magnification readers. The marriage for this couple was done by bans with bans being posted on 16 Jan 1620, and 24 Jan 1620, and apparently the marriage was performed on that day. It lists: Johes Deane and Elizabeth Heath 24 Jan 1620. Clearly not Joanne as had been reported by some. | Family: F2029

Pearl Stine writes:
She died at home at 12320 Willowbrook Ave, Willowbrook, CA; but it always shows up as Compton, CA when you are searching for Willowbrook. Services, Moreland's Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Oscar Wright. Final resting place, Rose Hills Memorial Park. Funeral conducted by Moreland's Mortuaries Compton and Lynwood, CA. It is uncertain whether she was Corkhill or Corkill (she always told me Corkill and no middle name. We were so shook up at the time that I don't remember much more. She died of natural causes, or perhaps a heart attack-went peacefully without movement in her sleep while watching TV--no pain, thankfully. Sorry this took so long-she may be next to Ernie; but at the time, I didn't even know when, or where he died. | Family: F96

They were married by bans in St. james Audley on the 14 Jan 1813. They could both sign their names. The minister was Thomas Wright. The witnesses were john Darlington and Charles Smith. Charles was probably the parish clerk. John Darling would be her brother becasue her fatehr had died on 7 Dec 1812. Source: Marriage Certificate Fiche 3484-1-10, Page 1 No 2.St James Audley, Staff. LDS church records give the date of the marriage as 14 Jan 1814 not 1813. That is the wrong date. | Family: F818

-There is a marriage at the parish of Barthomley, that is next to Audley
4 June 1777 between a Joseph COPELAND and Elizabeth Spode. This is perfect
timing for a first child being christened 22 Feb 1778 at Audley for a Joseph
Cope and Elizabeth. The thing that is distressing is the name COPELAND.
Elizabeth Spode appears to have been born at Audley.
